TN Government School Quota (7.5%)

  • Must have studied from Class 6 to 12 in Government Schools
  • RTE students (up to Class 8 in private school + later Govt school) are also eligible
  • Applicable for:

    • Other state candidates who studied Class 6–12 in TN Govt Schools
Note: School must be a Government School for eligibility under 7.5% quota.

TN Government Quota (92.5%)

Remaining 92.5% seats are filled under the general state quota with reservation categories.

  • Applicable categories: BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, ST, OC
  • Eligibility:
    • Tamil Nadu native with schooling from Class 6 to 12 in TN
    • OR Native of TN studied outside state (with nativity proof)
    • OR Other state candidates who studied Class 6–12 in Tamil Nadu (for OC category)

Minority Quota (CMC – 20%)

Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore offers 20% seats under Minority Quota.

  • Candidate must belong to Christian Minority
  • Must satisfy either:
    • Studied in Tamil Nadu from Class 6–12
    • OR Tamil Nadu native (even if studied outside state)

Candidates applying for MBBS and BDS courses in Tamil Nadu must qualify NEET UG 2026 and fulfill the following eligibility conditions prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee.
