Application Process Overview
- Applications must be submitted online via www.cee.kerala.gov.in

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS / BDS (Kerala State Counselling 2026)
Candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS and other medical courses in Kerala must qualify NEET UG 2026 and fulfill the following eligibility conditions as prescribed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
Nationality Criteria
- Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission
- OCI / PIO candidates are treated at par with Indian citizens for admission
- However, OCI / PIO candidates are NOT eligible for reservation benefits
Nativity (Domicile) Criteria
Candidates are classified into three categories:
- Keralite
- Non-Keralite Category I (NK I)
- Non-Keralite Category II (NK II)
Keralite
- Candidates of Kerala origin
- Children of All India Service officers allotted to Kerala cadre (no reservation benefits)
Non-Keralite Category I (NK I)
- Studied qualifying course in Kerala with parents working in Central Govt / Defence
- Parents served in Kerala Government for minimum 2 years
- Resident of Kerala for 5 years (within last 12 years)
- Studied in Kerala from Class 8 to 12
- Eligible for State Merit seats only (no reservation benefits)
Non-Keralite Category II (NK II)
- All other candidates who do not fall under Keralite or NK I
- Not eligible for Government medical seats
