AIIMS Bilaspur is a premier public medical institute and Institute of National Importance located in Changar Palasiyan, Kothipura village, Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh, India. Established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) Phase-V, with approval in December 2019 (foundation stone laid in 2017 and Bhoomi Pujan in 2019), it aims to address regional imbalances in tertiary healthcare and enhance medical education in Himachal Pradesh and adjoining states. The institute offers undergraduate programs including MBBS (initially 50 seats, expanded to around 100-125), B.Sc. Nursing, postgraduate courses (MD/MS in various specialties with phased rollout), super-specialty programs, paramedical courses like Emergency Medicine Technician Diploma (EMT 2026-28), and doctoral research, focusing on high-standard training and innovation.

The expansive campus spans approximately 247 acres along National Highway-205, featuring modern infrastructure with academic blocks including lecture halls and demonstration rooms, departmental laboratories, skill simulation labs, a central library with print and digital resources, separate hostels for boys and girls (equipped with amenities like Wi-Fi, mess, and common rooms), residential quarters for faculty and staff, gymnasium, indoor/outdoor sports facilities, cafeteria, auditorium, and green spaces. The AIIMS Bilaspur Hospital is a state-of-the-art tertiary care teaching facility integrated with the institute, providing advanced multispecialty and superspecialty healthcare to Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and beyond while serving as a clinical training hub. Developed in phases, Phase-I includes a 750-bedded hospital (with ICU, emergency, trauma units) equipped with 15-20 super specialty departments and modern facilities like modular operation theatres.
