AIIMS Rajkot is a premier public medical institute and Institute of National Importance located in Khanderi-Parapipaliya, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. Established under Phase-VI of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), with the foundation stone laid virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 31, 2020, and formal inauguration/dedication on February 25, 2024, it began operations in 2020 from a temporary campus (mentored by AIIMS Jodhpur) and has transitioned to its permanent site. The institute offers undergraduate programs including MBBS (50 seats, with plans for expansion), B.Sc. Nursing, postgraduate courses (MD/MS introduced from January 2025 session with phased rollout), and focuses on high-quality medical education, research, and innovation to serve the Saurashtra region and beyond.
