NEET UG 2026 Allowed & Barred Items – Complete List (NTA Guidelines)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued strict guidelines regarding items allowed and prohibited inside the NEET UG 2026 examination centre. Candidates must follow these rules carefully, as possession of any banned item can lead to disqualification and legal action.

Important: No arrangements will be made at the exam centre to keep your belongings. Do not bring prohibited items.

Accessories Watches, bracelets, cameras, metallic items, ornaments/jewellery
Food Items Packed food, snacks, drinks, water bottles (except allowed cases)
Unfair Means Devices Hidden microchips, cameras, Bluetooth devices or any cheating tools

Security & Frisking Guidelines

  • All candidates will undergo strict frisking using metal detectors
  • Cooperation with staff is mandatory
  • Refusal may lead to denial of entry

Guidelines for Religious/Customary Items

  • Report at least 2 hours early for proper checking
  • Items may be checked thoroughly
  • If suspicious, you may be asked to remove them


Carrying any prohibited item inside the exam centre may lead to disqualification and action under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
