New Seats Added in NEET PG Round 3 Counselling 2025 Branch-Wise Breakdown
NEET PG Round 3 counselling update as NMC grants 400+ additional MD/MS seats across key branches such as General Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry and Community Medicine, improving admission chances for postgraduate aspirants.
New Seats Added in NEET PG Round 3 Counselling
Ahead of NEET PG Round 3 counselling, more than 400 new postgraduate medical seats have been added across multiple MD and MS branches. This significant seat expansion is expected to ease competition, improve cutoff movement, and create better admission opportunities for candidates who were not got seat in previous rounds especially in high-demand clinical specialties.
As part of the latest update before NEET PG Round 3 counselling, several major postgraduate medical branches have seen a notable rise in seat intake. MD General Medicine has recorded the highest increase with 92 additional seats, followed by MD Radio Diagnosis with 69 new seats. Core clinical branches have also benefited, with MS General Surgery seeing an increase of 47 seats, MD Pediatrics adding 29 seats, and MD Anaesthesiology witnessing an expansion of 28 seats. These increases are expected to significantly improve Round 3 allotment chances, especially for candidates targeting clinical and high-demand specialties.
