Tamil Nadu NEET 2026 Counselling Documents List: DME Releases Required Certificates for MBBS & BDS Admissions

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME), Tamil Nadu has issued an important notification for NEET UG 2026 aspirants regarding documents required for UG Medical and Dental admissions 2026–27. This update is crucial for students planning to participate in state counselling.
Although the counselling schedule has not yet been announced, candidates are advised to keep all required documents ready in advance to avoid delays during the admission process.
Tamil Nadu NEET 2026 Counselling: Documents Required (All Candidates)
Candidates applying for state quota, government quota, management quota, or NRI seats must keep the following documents ready:
- NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
- Class 10 Mark Sheet (both sides)
- Class 11 Mark Sheet
- Class 12 (HSC) Mark Sheet or equivalent

- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Study Certificate from Class 6 to 12 (for Tamil Nadu study proof)
- Community Certificate (if applicable)
- Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
- Parent’s Community Certificate (for reservation claims)
- Income Certificate (for fee concession)
- Eligibility Certificate (for candidates from other boards)
Documents for Management Quota (Minority)
- Linguistic Minority Certificate
- Religious Minority Certificate
Documents for NRI Quota
- NRI status proof issued by Indian Embassy or OCI Card
- Relationship certificate between sponsor and candidate
- Valid passport of NRI sponsor
- NRE bank account passbook of sponsor
7.5% Government School Quota Documents
Special documents are required for candidates applying under the 7.5% quota:
- Bonafide certificate (for students who completed before 2022–23)
- For recent batches, verification will be done through EMIS portal
This notification is issued to help candidates prepare in advance for counselling. Since document verification is a critical step, missing or incorrect documents can lead to rejection of candidature.
