GGSIPU Admissions 2026–27 Begin: 24 New Courses, 43,000 Seats Open at IP University from Feb 2

The announcement was made at a formal event held at the India International Centre, New Delhi, in the presence of Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood and GGSIPU Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahesh Verma. University officials stated that the new programmes are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aim to make students future-ready for evolving industry demands.

The GGSIPU admission cycle for 2026–27 will begin with online registration starting from February 2, 2026, through the official portal ipu.admissions.nic.in. A one-time application-cum-counselling fee of ₹2,500 will be charge

This year, the university will offer more than 43,000 seats across over 130 affiliated colleges and university schools. Around 4,300 seats are available directly in GGSIPU’s university schools. Nine new colleges have also been added to the university ecosystem.

Entrance Exams Accepted for GGSIPU Admissions

Admissions to various programmes will be conducted through a combination of university-level Common Entrance Tests (CETs) and national-level examinations. Depending on the course, candidates will be admitted through JEE Main, NEET, CAT, CMAT, NIMCET, CLAT, and CUET. CUET scores may also be used to fill vacant seats, particularly in BTech programmes.

List of 24 New Courses Introduced for 2026–27

At the undergraduate level, GGSIPU has launched programmes such as Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), BTech in Industrial Chemistry, BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), BTech in Computer Science & Business Systems, BSc in Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), and BA–BEd (Special & Inclusive Education – ISITEP) with multiple disability specialisations.

At the postgraduate level, new offerings include MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and MA in Mass Communication (Weekend Programme). Several new integrated teacher education programmes have also been introduced with a strong focus on inclusive and special education.

The introduction of programmes in artificial intelligence, robotics, clinical psychology, and inclusive education reflects the growing demand for skilled professionals in high-growth sectors. These courses aim to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world industry requirements.

Special emphasis on inclusive education aligns with India’s national priorities under NEP 2020 and addresses the shortage of trained educators for children with special needs across the country.
