INI-CET 2026 July Session Exam Date Update
The INI-CET May 2026 July Session examination has been preponed and will now be conducted on 16 May 2026 (Saturday). Earlier, the examination was scheduled to be held on 17 May 2026 (Sunday). So plan your preparation and travel arrangements accordingly.

INI-CET 2026 July Session Application Process
The INI-CET 2026 application process is conducted entirely through the official AIIMS examination portal. All activities related to registration, application submission and examination are enabled online as per the schedule mentioned in the Important Dates section. Applicants are advised to regularly visit the portal to stay updated on activation or closure of different stages.
The application process consists of three sequential stages, and candidates must successfully complete each stage to be considered for INI-CET 2026 July Session.
Step 1: Registration & Basic Candidate Information
This is a one-time registration process for postgraduate entrance examinations conducted by AIIMS. Candidates must register to generate a Registration ID and Password, followed by submission of basic personal details and uploading of photograph, signature and left thumb impression.
Acceptance or rejection of registration depends on the quality and format of uploaded images.
Applicants whose registration details were already accepted for any previous AIIMS postgraduate examination are not required to register again and may directly proceed to Step 2 using their existing credentials.
Step 2: Generation of Exam Unique Code (EUC)
An accepted registration is mandatory to generate the Exam Unique Code (EUC). The EUC confirms the candidate’s intent to apply for INI-CET 2026 July Session and is exam-session specific. A previously generated EUC for any other examination cannot be reused and must be generated afresh for this session.
Step 3: Completion of Application Form
After generating the EUC, candidates must proceed to the Completion of Application stage. Login using Registration ID, Password and EUC is required to fill academic details, category information, upload certificates (if applicable) and complete fee payment. The application is considered complete only after successful submission before the deadline.
Applicants must ensure that their email ID and mobile number remain active, as all communication related to INI-CET 2026 July Session will be sent through registered contact details only.
Important Notes for Applicants
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to postgraduate courses at participating INIs. Admission at every stage is purely provisional and subject to verification of eligibility, documents and certificates at the time of seat allocation and joining.
Applicants claiming SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS or PwBD benefits must upload valid certificates within the prescribed dates. Invalid, expired or incorrectly uploaded certificates may lead to cancellation of reservation benefits or consideration under the general category.
Any false information, impersonation or incorrect uploads detected at any stage may result in cancellation of candidature and further action as per examination rules. Candidates are therefore advised to fill the application form with utmost accuracy.
INI-CET 2026 July Session Application Fee
The table below shows the INI-CET 2026 July Session application fee structure for different candidate categories. Applicants must pay the fee online during the application process. PwBD candidates are exempted from payment, while the fee paid by other categories is non-refundable once submitted. Only applications with successful fee payment will be accepted.

The INI-CET 2026 application fee must be paid online at the time of completing the application form. Candidates can pay the fee using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. Any applicable transaction or processing charges will be borne by the applicant.
The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Applications submitted without successful payment of the prescribed fee will be rejected. In case of multiple payments for a single application, the excess amount will be refunded after verification and completion of the examination process.

Eligibility Criteria for INI-CET 2026 (July Session)
The eligibility criteria mentioned below are applicable only for the application and examination component of INI-CET 2026 July Session. Candidates must note that the eligibility conditions for admission to postgraduate courses may vary across different Institutes of National Importance (INIs). Applicants are advised to carefully refer the respective institute prospectus for detailed admission eligibility. A candidate cannot be eligible under both Indian National and Foreign National categories.

Must be a citizen of India. Candidates should possess an MBBS degree for
MD/MS/DM (6 yrs)/MCh (6 yrs)/MD (Hospital Administration) or a BDS degree for MDS
from an NMC/DCI recognized university. Completion of 12 months compulsory rotating
internship on or before 31 July 2026 is mandatory. Candidates completing internship
after this date are not eligible.

OCI holders considered as Indian Nationals are eligible only for
unreserved Indian seats. Other OCI/PIO candidates will be treated as

INI-CET 2026 Exam Mode & Marking Scheme
The INI-CET 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The test is designed to assess candidates for admission to postgraduate medical courses at Institutes of National Importance (INIs). The examination follows a strictly timed and section-wise controlled format.
Mode of Examination
INI-CET 2026 will be held in online CBT mode with a total duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). The question paper will consist of 200 objective-type questions, including Single Correct Choice and Multiple Correct Choice questions.

The percentile score obtained in INI-CET 2026 will be used to determine eligibility for admission to postgraduate seats across all participating INIs.
INI-CET 2026 July Session Minimum Percentile Cut-off
The minimum qualifying percentile for INI-CET 2026 July Session determines a candidate’s eligibility for admission to postgraduate medical seats at participating Institutes of National Importance. Candidates must secure the required category-wise percentile in the INI-CET examination to be considered for counselling and seat allocation.

Important Examination Instructions
The INI-CET 2026 question paper will be divided into four parts, each consisting of 50 questions with a fixed duration of 45 minutes per part. The total examination time will be 180 minutes.
Each part will be activated sequentially. Once the allotted 45-minute time for a part expires, that section will be automatically submitted and the next part will be enabled. Candidates cannot revisit any previous part after it is closed.
Candidates are allowed to attempt, review and revise questions only within the currently active part. Questions from other parts will remain inaccessible. Therefore, it is strongly advised to attempt all possible questions, including those marked for review, within the given time of each section.
