Why RE-NEET 2026 City Selection Is Important

The reopening of the examination city preference window is a major relief for students who shifted cities after the cancellation of the earlier NEET UG 2026 examination. Many candidates had already returned to coaching cities, hometowns, or hostel locations after the previous exam cycle, making fresh city selection extremely important.

Students are advised to choose their preferred examination city carefully based on:

  • Travel convenience
  • Availability of transportation
  • Distance from current residence
  • Accommodation arrangements (if required)
  • Safety and accessibility

Since the examination will be conducted across multiple cities in India, selecting a practical centre preference can help reduce exam-day stress significantly.

What Students Should Do Now

With the city preference window now active, candidates should immediately complete the update process instead of waiting until the final day. Server traffic usually increases close to the deadline, which may create login or submission issues.

Along with updating examination city preferences, students should continue revision seriously because the re-exam schedule is now officially fixed for 21 June 2026.
