Maharashtra NEET PG 2025 CAP Round 3 – NRI Eligibility & Registration

For Maharashtra NEET PG 2025 CAP Round-3, NRI candidates must qualify NEET-PG 2025 and meet the revised NRI definition as per Government of Maharashtra Act No. XXXV of 2025 (dated 16 July 2025).

An NRI is defined as a person who is “not ordinarily resident” under the Income Tax Act, 1961, holding a valid NRI certificate issued by an Indian Mission/Post abroad, and includes their child or ward under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890. Eligible applicants include self-NRI candidates, candidates with NRI parents, or NRI wards, subject to fulfilment of NEET PG 2025 brochure conditions.

NRI candidates must register on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal (fn.mahacet.org) on or before 03 January 2026 by paying a non-refundable USD 50 eligibility fee. After document verification and issuance of the Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC), candidates willing to proceed must pay a USD 1,150 processing fee. Only candidates completing both payments will be considered.

The FCR application number must then be used to apply on the regular CAP portal as per the published Round-3 schedule. NRI candidates are eligible for admission strictly under the 15% NRI quota based on merit and must upload prescribed documents including NRI certificate, passport details, foreign bank statement, and FCR receipt.

Documents Required to Claim NRI Quota – NEET PG 2025

To apply under the NRI quota in NEET PG 2025, candidates must upload and produce the following documents during verification. Submission of complete and valid documents is mandatory to confirm NRI eligibility for CAP Round-3 admission:

  • NRI Status Certificate issued by an Indian Mission or Post abroad for the candidate, parent, or legal guardian.
  • Passport and nationality certificate of the candidate and the concerned parent/guardian.
  • Guardianship certificate issued by a competent court, applicable only in cases where the candidate is an NRI ward.
  • Foreign bank account passbook copy of the candidate/parent/guardian showing bank name, address, account holder details, and transaction entries for the last six months prior to admission.
  • Foreign Candidate Registration Portal (FCR) receipt generated after registration on fn.mahacet.org.
