MCC Extends NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Reporting Deadline to Feb 13, Check Revised Schedule

Last updated: February 9, 2026

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially extended the reporting deadline for NEET PG 2025 Round 3 allotments to February 13, 2026. The extension follows the withdrawal and reissue of the provisional result due to technical errors and duplicate seat allotments, giving candidates additional time to complete travel arrangements, document verification and admission formalities at their allotted colleges.

MCC Extends NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Reporting Deadline to 13 February 2026

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially extended the reporting deadline for NEET PG 2025 Round 3 allotments. As per the revised notice released on 9 February 2026, candidates can now report and join their allotted colleges till 13 February 2026.

The extension comes after the Round 3 provisional result was withdrawn and reissued due to technical issues and seat duplication reported by some institutes. Many candidates were unable to complete travel arrangements and document verification in the earlier short window. To ensure fairness and to avoid unnecessary cancellations, MCC granted two extra days for reporting.

Why MCC Extended the Reporting Deadline

Originally, candidates were required to report by 11 February 2026. However, the counselling process faced unexpected disruption. On 3 February 2026, MCC uploaded the provisional result, but it had to be withdrawn due to technical glitches and duplicate seat allotments. A corrected provisional result was released on 5 February 2026 and candidates were allowed to raise objections till 6 February 9:00 AM.

Because of these sudden changes, many students lost valuable preparation time for reporting. The new deadline of 13 February ensures candidates get adequate time for travel, document verification, and fee arrangements.

The extension provides major relief for candidates who were allotted seats, especially those travelling to another state or joining deemed universities. However, this does not change Round 3 rules.

If you fail to report by 13 February 2026:

  • 1. Your allotted seat will be cancelled
  • 2. Your security deposit will be forfeited
  • 3. You will become ineligible for stray vacancy round

Therefore, candidates must treat this as the final deadline and complete joining formalities on time.

Data Sharing on 14 February

After reporting ends, MCC will share the list of joined candidates with state counselling authorities on 14 February 2026. This process is called the “weeding out” process.

It prevents candidates who have already joined AIQ or deemed seats from participating in state quota counselling. This avoids duplicate admissions and helps states calculate the actual vacant seats correctly.

Because of the extension, most states will now declare their Round 3 state counselling results only after 14 February 2026. States like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh usually wait for MCC data before announcing results.

This synchronization helps prevent double allotments and ensures smoother counselling. Some states with independent schedules may proceed earlier, but candidates should regularly check their state DME websites.
