What About Exams After 5 March 2026?
CBSE has informed that it will review the ground situation on 3 March 2026. Based on this review, the board will decide whether examinations scheduled from 5 March 2026 onwards can be conducted as per timetable or need rescheduling.
Why CBSE Postponed the Exams
The circular does not specify detailed reasons, which is common in sensitive situations. However, references to the “current situation” generally indicate security concerns, regional tensions or disruptions that could affect safe examination conduct.
CBSE has historically postponed exams only when necessary — such as during natural disasters, pandemics or regional unrest. The board’s primary policy remains clear: student safety is more important than sticking to the academic schedule.
To ensure proper support for students, CBSE has shared the circular with Indian diplomatic authorities, including:
- Indian Ambassadors in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iran, Consul General of India in Dubai, CBSE Regional Office & Centre of Excellence, Dubai
