Vinayaka Mission's Medical College (VMMC), located along the scenic Bay of Bengal in Karaikal, was established in 1996 by Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram, a visionary philanthropist and educationist who founded the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF) - Deemed to be University. As one of the first medical colleges established in rural India, VMMC has a lasting commitment to both medical education and rural healthcare.
