The campus of Government Medical College, Amritsar, is a blend of historic architecture and modern facilities. The first two hostel blocks, A and B, were built in 1929 and modeled after Cambridge University, offering aesthetically designed accommodations for students. Over the years, additional hostel blocks have been added to meet the growing needs of the college. The campus also features spacious playgrounds that are invitingly positioned in front of the hostels. In addition to its academic and clinical training facilities, the college provides a well-rounded environment with a rich legacy, including its iconic hostel buildings that have stood the test of time.

About Hospital
Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, originally established as Victoria Jubilee Hospital in 1891, is now the primary teaching hospital of Government Medical College, Amritsar. It has played a crucial role in medical care, particularly during the partition, when it provided vital treatment to refugees. The hospital has grown significantly over the years, with the addition of specialized units such as pediatrics, TB, ENT, orthopedics, and mental health facilities. Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, built in 1974, further expanded services, offering a wide range of emergency, specialty, and super-specialty care.
