The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026 is a national-level entrance examination conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate programmes in Central, State and participating universities across India and abroad for the academic session 2026–27.

CUET UG 2026 Application Fee
Candidates can select up to five subjects (including language and General Aptitude Test). Fees increase with each additional subject.

CUET UG 2026 Eligibility Criteria
There is no age limit for appearing in CUET UG 2026. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or are appearing in 2026 are eligible to apply. However, final admission depends on the specific eligibility rules of the university or programme applied for.
Qualifying examinations include Class 12 boards recognised by CBSE, CISCE, State Boards, NIOS, IB, Cambridge, vocational boards, AICTE-recognised diplomas and other equivalent qualifications approved by UGC or AIU.

CUET UG 2026 Syllabus (Official PDF)

CUET UG 2026 Marking Scheme
Each question carries 5 marks for a correct response. One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer, while unattempted questions carry no penalty.
If multiple answers are found correct, candidates selecting any correct option receive full marks. If a question is dropped or found incorrect, all candidates are awarded full marks for that question.
CUET UG 2026 Admit Card Guidelines
Admit cards will be released online on the official CUET website. Candidates must download and print the admit card and appear only at the centre, date and shift mentioned on it.
Any discrepancy in photograph, signature or personal details should be reported immediately to the NTA helpline. Admit cards will not be sent by post.
Documents Required Inside CUET UG 2026 Examination Centre
Candidates appearing for CUET UG 2026 must ensure that they carry required documents to the examination venue.
These include a printed copy of the admit card along with the duly filled self-declaration, a simple transparent ballpoint pen, and an extra passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form) for pasting on the attendance sheet. One original and valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, school ID or Class 12 admit card is mandatory.
Candidates claiming PwD or PwBD relaxation must carry the original certificate issued by an authorized medical officer. Diabetic candidates are allowed to carry sugar tablets or fruits such as banana, apple or orange, as required.

Items Allowed & Barred in Exam Hall
Candidates may carry only the admit card, a transparent pen, one valid photo ID, additional photograph and PwD certificate (if applicable). All electronic devices, written material, accessories, watches, wallets and food items are strictly prohibited.
Strict frisking will be conducted. Candidates wearing cultural or religious attire should report at least two hours before gate closing time.
Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official CUET website for updates related to exam schedule, admit card release and result declaration.
CUET UG 2026 Dress Code
•Candidates appearing for CUET UG 2026 must adhere strictly to the prescribed dress code to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
•Heavy clothing and garments with long sleeves are not allowed.
•Candidates wearing cultural or customary attire should report at least two hours before the final reporting time to allow sufficient time for security checks.
•Slippers and sandals with low heels are permitted, while shoes are strictly prohibited.
•Any relaxation in dress code due to medical or unavoidable reasons must be approved by NTA in advance.
To maintain dignity and comfort, frisking of female candidates will be conducted inside a closed enclosure by female staff only.
Important Instructions for CUET UG 2026 Candidates
Candidates must report to the examination centre at least two hours before the scheduled start time to avoid missing important instructions.
Entry to the exam hall is strictly subject to verification of a valid Admit Card and authorized original photo ID.
Candidates must occupy only the seat allotted to them, ensure that the question paper displayed matches their opted subject, and immediately report any discrepancy to the invigilator.
Carrying prohibited items such as mobile phones, electronic devices, study material, bags, or eatables is strictly not allowed.
Rough work must be done only on the sheets provided at the centre and handed over after the exam. Any false information, rule violation, or misconduct may lead to cancellation of candidature, and no re-test will be conducted under any circumstances.
