Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Sector-32, Chandigarh has issued a fresh notice for MD/MS Admission 2025 under the Institutional Preference (IP) Pool, in compliance with the Punjab & Haryana High Court order dated 26 November 2025. Eligible candidates who have completed MBBS from GMCH-32 can submit a new online application, upload documents and participate in the state quota counselling for IP seats as per the revised schedule mentioned below.

Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 – List of Eligible Candidates

The list of eligible candidates for Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 has been released after verification of documents submitted during the registration window. Only candidates who completed MBBS from GMCH-32 and submitted all required certificates within the deadline are included in the provisional eligibility list.(On 11 December 2025)

Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 – Choice Filling

Choice filling for Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 is open from 12 to 15 December 2025. Candidates must log in to the GMCH portal, arrange their preferred MD/MS specialties and lock choices before the deadline, as unlocked choices will not be considered for seat allotment.

Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 – Result Date

The Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 result will be published on 15 December 2025 on the official GMCH website. Candidates can check their allotted MD/MS seat using their login credentials and proceed with reporting on the dates specified in the counselling schedule.

Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 – Cutoff

The Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 cutoff will be announced along with the seat allotment result. Cutoff ranks for each MD/MS specialty depend on available seats, category eligibility and overall merit position of candidates applying under the Institutional Preference Pool.

GMCH Chandigarh MD/MS 2025 – Institutional Preference Seat Distribution

For the MD/MS Session 2025, GMCH Chandigarh has notified a total of 75 Institutional Preference (IP) seats (including 4 PwBD seats) plus 4 additional EWS seats under the state quota. The broad category-wise seat distribution is as follows:

Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round- 1  Eligibility Criteria 

Institutional Preference (IP): Only those candidates who have completed MBBS from GMCH-32, Chandigarh are eligible for the IP Pool seats. They must upload their Final Professional marksheet / degree certificate issued by the Director Principal, GMCH-32.

SC Category: 15% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. Only candidates with a valid SC certificate issued by UT Chandigarh are eligible. The candidate must also have selected the SC category while applying for NEET PG 2025.

OBC Category: 3% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates. Only those with an OBC certificate issued by UT Chandigarh can apply under this category, and the same category must have been claimed in the NEET PG 2025 application form.

PWD / PwBD Reservation: 5% of seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities on a horizontal basis. PwBD candidates will be adjusted within their respective parent category (General, SC or OBC) as per the category mentioned in their NEET PG 2025 result card.

EWS Category: EWS seats are available for candidates who are not covered under SC, ST, OBC or other reserved categories and whose family annual income is below ₹8 lakh, subject to the asset criteria notified by the government (agricultural land, residential property size, etc.). A valid EWS certificate as per the latest UT guidelines is mandatory.

Any change in eligibility criteria or reservation norms will be updated on the official website www.gmch.gov.in, and candidates are advised to regularly check the site for revised instructions.

Chandigarh NEET PG 2025 Round-1 – Application Fee (Online)

The application form for MD/MS 2025 can be submitted online only through the GMCH website during the given window. The prescribed application fee is as follows:

The application fee is non-refundable under all circumstances and must be paid through online payment modes only as provided on the GMCH portal.

Important Instructions for GMCH MD/MS 2025 Applicants

The online application form will be available from 06 December 2025 to 08 December 2025 (upto 11:00 AM) on the official website www.gmch.gov.in. Candidates must upload all certificates and a recent photograph strictly as per the instructions given in the MD/MS Prospectus 2025.

Applications submitted in any format other than online, or submitted after the last date and time, will not be accepted. Those candidates who have already applied earlier against Institutional Preference (IP) Pool as per the notified criteria do not need to apply again. All candidates are advised to carefully read the prospectus, follow category and document guidelines, and regularly check the GMCH website for updates, seat matrix and counselling notices.
